The question of who I am is complex. Like every individual I consist of many changing facets that make me who I am. What I do know is that creativity is one of those facets in my life and it manifests itself in several ways. One of those expressions is portraiture, in a way that is constantly evolving as I get older and gain more experience. My style is usually characterized by the high degree of realism, in which every detail of the person portrayed is visible. However, the further I develop, the more I am looking for a style that represents more than just shared reality and adds something of my own reality.
Call it your own style or vision. What I do know is that this is a lifelong quest and one of my motivations to keep developing myself as an artist. Given my age (b. 1996) I still have a long way to go and I am curious where it will lead.

I am also very pleased to see that my work has been recognized.
This is evident not only from loved ones and unknown admirers who take the trouble to take in my work and express their appreciation, but also because of some great opportunities that have been presented to me in recent years.

In 2017 I was selected as one of fifty finalists in the Dutch Portrait Prize, where my work was exhibited in Soestdijk Palace for three months. In 2020 I had the honor of taking part in the Sterren op het Doek program, where I was allowed to portray a famous Dutchman together with two fellow artists.

Hopefully the future will offer many new opportunities and I may even be able to help you.
